My Friday Thought: People seem very obsessed with tools, but can often forgot that the simplest practices are the most important to get right.

You can often do many with very little tooling. Tools are vital to help us on our journey, but if we aren’t careful we will continually go slower whilst reducing quality rather than enabling our teams to succeed.

This is even more relevant when we have AI as it offers the ability for you go faster, but not necessarily produce the same level of quality. It is more you need competent people and empower them with tools that support them.
