Experiential support
My Friday Thought: Great team work can couple levels of experience together to have a creative outcome, but also the finished product can also be in part due a different vision on the end goal, not just skill.
Pairing in practice through the use of elephants, paints and masks of fun. Not exactly pairing with a driver and navigator, however, there were principles used here.
Clear Goal: Shared vision with the same basic inspiration (colours and flags) to create a fun elephant mask
Active Engagement: Both parties equally involved
Communication: Sharing of tools and discussion on approach and next steps.
Mutual Respect: Allowing a difference in approach with understanding of different skills.
In this case, the skills were different as experience of six years to significantly more came into play, however there was increased focus created through the support of one another. It also permit for experiential support to be passed on. Additional on the opposite side is the creativeness, without the years of conforming to how a flag could be conveyed, might have support the creativity being more within the less experienced painter.
For me this highlights that skill alone, doesn't get the greatness we see within tech, but the diversity of thought, skill, background, all comes together to play a role in the end delivered product.
