My Friday Thought: Getting the opportunity to support and help develop others is an honour. When you then see their success recognised it’s a proud moment

Leadership is not just about steering the ship in the right direction, or dealing with the blockers and issues as they arise. It provides you with the opportunity to see the potential in others and support them in unlocking that.

It is a great responsibility to ensure that you create a psychological safe environment for failure. From failure we grow and this is true of teams too. Providing this space within a team gives benefits to many, but the opportunity for the potential in people to be achieved is most definitely easier to unlock.

Yesterday I got to witness growth and achievements being recognition. A proud moment seeing the journey of another. I never thought leadership could also feel like ‘proud parents’, but yesterday it was that too.
