Rules

My Friday Thought: Everything is better in the sun, unless your chocolate.

There are generally rules which hold true for most things 'I before e except after c', 'talk to someone whilst making eye contact', 'turn up on time'. Technology isn't so different we have general good common practices, but some are a little like the sun making everything better - there are use cases this just isn't correct.

Rules are good, guidelines can keep us safe, but innovation can often happen when we find the use cases where the rules don't fit.

Humans love binary and the ability to classify things, but this isn't always possible or the right thing to do, in life and in tech. So make sure you aren't putting chocolate in the sun.
